Roberta and the Tuxi Kit Who Wouldn't Hold Still

Roberta  Oil on panel, 6"x6," SOLD
You know for every cat I paint, there's 3 more who refused to cooperate...  Case in point, this ridiculously cute long hair Tuxi kitten who wouldn't hold still for even a millisecond...

(Me coaching my husband who accompanied me that day: "Just get it to look at the camera!" Lol, not a chance!) Happily, the kitten was adopted during our visit.

  1. And yet you captured this little darling beautifully!
You mentioned the kitten was adopted - do your rescue paintings often sell to those who adopt them? How cool for them to ALSO have a Diane Hoeptner original??
    love your work.

  2. Thanks Marilyn... This hasn't happened yet. It's really a lot of cats painted from the same place! Though I have reached out to this shelter to let them know what I am doing.
