The Bean, Coco Puff and Freesias

The Bean  Oil on wood, 8" x 8,"  SOLD

Coco Bean's claim to fame:  Most painted cat in history, possibly the most photographed as well...  Is it any wonder?!  He's outstanding!
Painting these freesias reminded me how much I enjoy painting flowers.  Maybe try some more flowers again soon.

Austere Coco a new cat painting

Austere Coco  Oil on panel, 8" x 8,"  SOLD
This little guy.  At 19+ years old, he's keepin' on pretty good...  A recent visit to the Vet prompted an increase in his medication with a follow up in November. He surely is a treasured part of our household.

Coco and Sunflowers

Coco and Sunflowers, Oil on panel, 12" x 12"  NFS

I've been a little distracted with house (and other misc.) projects lately...  but did manage to finish "Coco and Sunflowers" this week.  It's another re-iteration, the first one (painted in 2015) is here.  Holding this one for a show later in the year!

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and sincere THANKS

An oldie from 2011...  "Serious Coco"  Oil on wood, 6" x 6" Private Collection
Holiday Salutations, dear reader.  Have I told you lately that you are the cat's meow?  You are. Being able to share my art (1) and (2) sell it direct are nothing short of modern day miracles that I never take for granted.  (Doncha know I remember when slides and hard copy photos were how one shared.) My collectors make my world go 'round. Thank you to those who bought calendars and prints. Not everybody can afford original art and it's those smaller purchases that help keep the paint slinging. Your comments and emails never fail to brighten my day. Thank you!
I will be taking a week or so to enjoy the season (and trying not to get sucked into home renovation projects...lol)  Wishing you and yours extra peace and joy during the holidays

The Assistant, a painting of a girl and a cat

The Assistant  Oil on panel, 8" x 8,"  NFS
The girl and her coco-kitty assistant...  It's a lot to fit into an 8" x 8" painting. I will spare you the "I want to paint bigger rant" today, suffice it to say, paintings like this remind me of that.  LOL.

Holiday Cat I Halloween Coco

Halloween Coco  Oil on panel, 6" x 6," SOLD
File this one under to be continued.  I started a series called Character Cats a little while back... It goes on, but instead of character cats, they're gonna be Holiday Cats. It was fun trying out the new paints on this one. More to follow as I find time.

Coco Cat Art Magnet!

Coco cat fridge magnet
Collectors of my art enjoy silly freebies from time to time. Pictured above, a Coco kitty fridge magnet!  It's printed on magnetic paper, which is then cut with a paper cutter.  Fun, right?
On a more serious note, a heads up for subscribers:  The service I use to email blog posts to your inbox has been acting up... It skipped a post and isn't reliable anymore.  I'm switching over to Mailchimp. If this correspondence looks different, that's why. Mailchimp will hopefully enable better looking and functioning emails. Thank you for subscribing, please hang with me as I get it figured out!

The Diplomat, Coco kitty returns!

The Diplomat  Oil on wood, 8" x 8,"  SOLD
Coco gets regular play time with my husband and I.  Husband rough houses him. The cat then ambles over to me for petting (and baby talk) then he goes back over to my husband and the cycle continues. He seems to like it and he's pretty good about giving us equal time.  :)

Coco on Red cat painting (before and after I fixed it)

Coco on Red  Oil on wood, 8" x 8,"  SOLD
I re-worked this one because the background pattern was competing for attention with Coco...  As per usual, my intended "quick fix" quickly became "I'll re-paint the whole thing!"  Hope to post a new painting tomorrow.
