Shape of Things, floral still life with small bird painting

Shape of Things  Oil on wood, 8" x 8,"  SOLD
I've been acquiring reference photos of birds at a pet store... The store has four cages you can reach into which I do camera in hand.  The little birds like the one in this painting are more skittish and fast moving than the other birds. Not to mention more difficult to photograph.  But they fit very nicely into still life settings.

  1. This is one of those settings, where you look at the beautiful floral and then notice the little bird sitting so pleasantly quiet. Love this birdie series you are doing.
