Yes, it's taking me a minute to get my mojo back.  Being sick was yucky, but I also fell into a sort of apathetic despair that was even more yucky.  I don't know if it was the winter doldrums or what. When my flu symptoms eased I started remembering the things I wanted to paint...  and not to get too philosophical but that feeling of optimistic yearning to paint is like finding a magic breadcrumb.  It leads to action and that leads to healing and lights a path back to one's better self.  Of course, it didn't hurt when Cleveland favored us with a few days of 50 degree temperatures!  Anyway, this week I'll catch you up on what I've been painting and some exciting news too!

  1. I'm getting over the grunges too. This yummy painting surely helps lifts my spirits. I was coveting your gorgeous sunflower paintings. One day I want to own an orginal Diane Hoeptner!

  3. This is wonderful! Gorgeous colors- Love the fabric and how it just pulls it all together. Favorite moment- the curved reflected stripe in the bowl. Major sigh worthy:)

  5. Being physically sick can cause a person to feel down and not even realize the connection. I'm so glad you're feeling better!

  8. so glad you're feelin better. the flu is not nice. don't feel like doin' anything. you were missed! this is just amazing, i love the pinks, oranges and reds, they blend beautifully with the blue. perfect! welcome back!
