This one could be called "experiments with a fan brush." I'm very attached to the Filberts and rounds, but a fan brush can be handy when painting fur.

My dear Mother came over for lunch last Friday.  She helped me do a bunch of stuff including gessoing panels.  Thanks, Mom!!

She brought me a surprise too, something she saved from my childhood.  (?!)  Upon presenting it, she proclaimed in a dramatic fashion  "the one that started it all."  Heehee, good times.  She's the best!

It's interesting to go back to painting flowers (which are very much in my comfort zone) after painting so many cats and critters.  These daffodils were a joy to paint.   I'm very happy this one!
