So, my sister is an avid fan of reggae singer, Mike Love. She celebrated a birthday recently. It was gratifying to watch her open this gift...she loved it. Painting it reminded me (yet again) how much I so enjoy painting people. Happy Birthday, Deb!!
Excellent job! One of your best. I just saw the Gainsborough exhibit at Princeton U. It's of his pictures of his family. Wow. We are so use his images, I wasn't prepared for the impact of the original art. Portrait painting , human and other wise, appears to be 2 D, but it is a portal to another world.
It must have been nice to see him smiling at you too, while you completed the painting. Great job!
