The background pattern here had a pleasant old fashioned appeal that I hope I got across. I customized the colors to compliment "Henrietta." And re-arranged the shapes. Me thinks painting every detail (like dotted perimeters around the darker shapes) would have been overkill... Painting chickie's saturated hues was much more interesting. Hi Diane. I find your art and "love" for animals both beautiful and inspiring. You are one of my favorite animal artists. I read about your trip to Farmpark. I've visited there too, trying to educate about farmed animal exploitation and cruelty (that Farmpark upholds). From one "animal lover" and artist to another, I ask that you please give some serious attention to this article: https://freefromharm.org/animalagriculture/chicken-facts-industry-doesnt-want-know/.
Love this chicken in the parlor.
