Cow and Cat II

Cow and Cat II  Oil on panel, 8" x 8,"  NFS
Not sure where I'm going with the Cow + Cat paintings.  I love the combo. Maybe a few more. Cow here was jet black, but I thought his left black ear wouldn't read well against kitty, so I made him burnt umber... Not sure that was a good call, though this painting is better in life.
In other news, the first batch of Cats! My 2017 Wall Calendar has sold out.  New ones are currently being printed. It felt really good to send the shelter part of the proceeds.

    I love the combo too! Thought it was a yoga reference.
