Eye on Butterfly a new cat painting

Eye on Butterfly  Oil on wood  8" x 8"  SOLD

Still trying out landscape backgrounds. The background reference for this painting started out emerald green and cerulean blue, but I thought it complimented the foreground better in sienna and ochres.    
Will include a photo of "Eye on Butterfly" kitteh, which was taken at the Cleveland Animal Protective League.
