We took Layla the cat to the Vet yesterday. They did bloodwork and prescribed pills for a liver issue. A good part of the day today was spent researching how to make a cat swallow a pill (1) and (2) trying to get her to swallow pills. Coating them in butter helped. "Milk Thistle" and "Sam-e" are also on order. Hoping to see an increase in her appetite and activity level soon. :(
The painting is gorgeous and there's real hope for Layla as the liver does regenerate . I had a cat recover from it myself. Also it helps to wrapping them up in a a big bath towel when giving the pill .... once it's in, gently rub their throat to encourage swallowing .Mostly it's a contest of wills! Saying some prayers for Layla
Thank you so much for commenting Anne. She took a pill on the first try this morning and I can't even tell you what a relief that was. I'm really glad to hear your cat recovered and I'm making it my mission to do everything in my power so that Layla recovers too. Thanks again.
Absolutely beautiful, Diane...The vase is outstanding!!! I hope Layla gets better...she's beautiful. I coat my dogs pills with peanut butter and she loves it...however, I'm not familiar with cats....
