Sparrow Meets Pattern  Oil on wood  12" x 12"  SOLD
Dappled light on a busy pattern was a challenge here!  But I'm satisfied with the results.

    The dappled light is subtle. Perfectly done. Adds life, but doesn't detract from the bird.

    I think this painting is fantastic. It has a Japanese feel to it - wait a minute, no, It has a Hoeptner feel to it!

    The humble sparrow is nearly hidden in that bold pattern. When he is seen it is such a sweet surprise! Well done!
