"Nasturtiums" by Jeremy Lipking |
I have a ways to go before my brushwork is so pleasing, but I grew a bit with this painting. I had to give up some of my go-to colors for greens and I realized I have more than a few go-to habits on autopilot. It was a worthwhile exercise.
This one of my favourite paintings of Jeremy's Diane! You did a terrific job on yours! Both are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour painting is beautiful! I love how you painted the glass.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow!!!!!!! You did such a beautiful job. I can see the inspiration, but it's definitely your gorgeous style.
ReplyDeleteThis is SOOOOO beautiful, Diane. The glass vase is painted perfectly..and I love the vibrant flowers...
ReplyDeleteStunning!
ReplyDeleteI knew your influence before I scrolled down to find Jeremy's piece. I also love his wonderful painting but I must tell you that I prefer your interior of the container. I can tell you loved what you saw, and I can tell his interest was all above the vase.
ReplyDeleteSuch great job and thanks for sharing. Started my day off just right.
Very nice!
ReplyDeleteLipking's work is indeed inspiring. So is yours!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely painting, with pleasing color, subject and brushwork too.
The pattern of the vines/stems inside the vase is so geometric and wonderful! I love the inspiration piece and yours is exceptional! LOVE!
ReplyDeleteJust lovely! The vines inside the glass just keep your eye moving around.
