Handsome Coco is normally very docile and lets the girl cat eat first and generally "run the show." But this morning we caught him harassing her. I hope he hasn't realized that he is nearly twice her size.
I love everything about this beautiful painting--especially what you left out. I am really trying to learn to not paint every tiny detail, leaving nothing for the admirer to fill in ;-). I'm always inspired with your work.
I had to chuckle at the description here. Cat hierarchy is sometimes amusing and often fascinating. We have two outdoor cats and the older red one bosses the younger (and larger) grey cat. I'm thinking one of these days the grey cat will realize he is big enough to be top cat.
Cats are so interesting. The differences in their personalities always amazes me, just like humans. Very lovely painting Diane!
ReplyDeleteI love this cat painting...I don't know how you do it but you can "really" feel the softness of his fur. Beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully painted, as always. Still loving your graphic patterns.:) And, Coco truly is a handsome boy!
ReplyDeleteLove this. It is so mysterious. The colors really say "cat".
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You really have the fur down. I agree with the other comment about the softness of the fur. I want to reach in and pet him.

ReplyDeleteLove this! Such great colors/neutrals!
ReplyDeleteGreat colors, really well done!
ReplyDeleteSuperb rendition of this cat personality!
