Monkey and Bluebird Cleveland Zoo Animal

Monkey and Bluebird  Oil on cradled wood  8" x 8"  NFS
The background is a variation on a William Morris tapestry.  I love the combination of monkey and sophisticated pattern here.  It's not unlike my cats on pattern paintings, but the monkey somehow ups the fun factor.

    Gosh...those eyes! I feel I am having a conversation with him he appears to be so real.
    I think you did a marvelous job with the colors of the monkey and the subtle background enhances it all perfectly.
