I painted this cat before here. He's not a kitten and not quite an adult yet--and still growing into those long limbs. Special thanks to Love-and-Hisses for providing the great photo reference.
Love the softness in this! Your love of felines shines through your paintings. Glancing at your photo to the right I think you may have a bit of feline in your blood. A little tabby?
You are on a wonderful roll! Such a soft feeling. These cat paintings are my favorites. I can't decide which one I like the best, because each new one becomes my new favorite.
I remember our beloved departed cat at this age, so your painting is not only wonderful but had an emotional resonance with me as well. Funny how all creatures seem to go through that awkward adolescent stage, be they human, animal or bird! You captured it beautifully.
Wonderful! You've captured a lot of thought here. I can almost see him deciding whether to jump or stay put. The soft, blurred style works so beautifully.

ReplyDeleteI find this little kitty painting especially beautiful because of the back lighting. Very lovely!
ReplyDeleteWow! Another wonderful cat painting! Love the window behind the kitty, too!
