Prince of Ivy it's a painting of a cat not a human

Prince of Ivy  Oil on wood  6" x 6"  SOLD
When I started painting Coco (in '08 and '09) I had a tendency to project human proportions onto his face, I may be shaking that habit as his contours and cat-ness become more familiar.  Illustration provided by How to Draw a Face on Wikinut.

    Your cats look so soft. I always feel like I could reach in and pet them. I like your backgrounds, too. Is this another one from Victorian clipart?

    I agree with Linda...your cats look so soft and cuddly. That coupled with the interesting backgrounds make such a beautiful painting.

    I too, am really enjoying the backgrounds and I love the way you have integrated green tones into the cat's coat to go with the background.
