LOVE, love, love this one!  I'm pretty sure that yellow and warm gray is one of my all time favorite color combos.  I have painted this arrangement before, here.  Sunflowers wrapped in ivy--This (bigger) version has an additional bloom.  ***Despite my initial enthusiasm for this painting, I re-worked it on 11/12/11 and updated it above.

    Diane, this is absolutely gorgeous!! Sunflowers are my favorite and you are right it looks great on that cool background. You did a fabulous job with the vase/jar also:) Just Gorgeous!!!

    I like this composition. The shadows and lone petal on the table become more important with fewer items in the painting. Your sunflowers are always fabulous, and I love the colors too!
