Yes, it's the white mystery flowers again.  I love, love, love how this one came out...  These flowers have daisy like petals around the outside and finer whispier, more yellow petals on the inside/top...  Do you know the proper name of this flower??  If so, please advise!  I  may still have to paint a few more before I get 'em out of my system.

  1. Whatever it is.....it is beautiful. Looks like a Chrysanthemum to me but I'm no flower expert.

  3. Looks like a chrysanthemum to me too, you can usually tell by the smell of the crushed petals. BTW it is lovely as always.

  4. I believe these to be chrysanthemums too. I have never painted them because I didn't think they were very pretty...until now, this is gorgeous Diane!

  7. My eyes popped open a little more when I first saw these because they appeared to literally come off the canvas! That is testament to your awesome painting technique, one I love to study time after time. You're my hero!

  10. My first thought was chrysanthemums, but they also could be dahlias, which have a similar petal style. My grandmother grew large red ones all around the house. I've not seen any like them when I try to find them to plant.

  11. I think they are chrysanthemums too, especially by the leaf shape. Lovely painting!
