It was sunny and gorgeous in Cleveland today. This painting practically painted itself and I had time left to visit Chuck E. Cheese with my sister and nephew this afternoon. Doesn't get much better than that!
Well, isn't it nice when that happens! I wish it happened more : ) Very pretty flowers and lovely hits of light and shadows in this piece.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous painting Diane, I love the purple/grey against the green stems. Looks like a fun day, what a great pic from Chuck E Cheese's!

Sounds like you were in the zone. Beautiful painting, Diane! And your nephew is simply adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love your white flowers. This is divine! The little vase is lovely and extremely believable, too.
ReplyDeleteI also love your nephew's red hair. It must be a dominant gene in your family.
Love the delicate composition. The small vase and short flower stems work so well together. Really lovely!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed the day with your nephew, Aunt Diane! Most artist remain young at heart so I know he thoroughly enjoyed his time with you.
Oh, I love it when paintings paint themselves - and aren't they always the best ones? This is beautiful in it's simplicity, and the petals say just enough and not too much! Love the glass vase, too! Chuck E. Cheese! I think I was the ONLY mom who actually liked going there! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, love the reflected light and the flowers are amazing.
ReplyDeleteLove your florals. They're so fresh. I always look forward to seeing what's next on your easel.
ReplyDeleteWonderfully fresh and sensitive as always. I especially like the way you paint white flowers. The colours in this one are beautifully rendered.
ReplyDeleteyour are wonderful at creating the glass in this vase! great job!
ReplyDeleteThis is a BEAUTY! I have a weakness for white flowers.
ReplyDeletesuch a great loose painting...love it
ReplyDeleteI was so mesmerized by the painting on my last visit that I forgot to say how much I love my little buy nephews. Isn't it grand being an Auntie?
ReplyDeleteLast night, Ryan who is 6 called me on the phone and sang, "do your ears hang low" the entire 5 verses. I could die from the cuteness factor!!
This painting is slam bangin' fantastic!!
