This pottery vase is more spectacular than how I painted it. There's drippy bright sienna brown paint around the top... and neat black spots on top of the matte finish brown glaze. Details you miss if you squint... Yes, a little more detailing than I could manage on this fine Monday.
Mmmmmm. Dreamy. Smooth. Like butterscotch. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHello. I am fairly new to 'daily painting' blog sites, and I'm loving the way I can click around the blogs and find amazing art. Yours is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic, I love the way you have completely defined the fact that these are sunflowers, yet the petals are not super detailed. In fact they seem to have movement! And you did a great job on that vase!!!

I really like your compostion here - and that none of the sunflowers are facing directly at us. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome Diane. I especially like the way the light coming in there just softens the vase and the flowers.
