Here's three 22x22 tulip paintings. They are on paper and still very wet, photos don't do justice. The top one especially is catching a lot of glare. All are sold, (woohoo!) I debated about whether or not to post these, as they are new versions of work I've posted previously--figured something was better than nothing!
What a great trio!! I love the purple against the red and the reds and scarlets peeking out around the edges of the leaves and flowers.
ReplyDeleteoooo....aaaaah....
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of paper if I may ask oh great Flower painting Guru o' mine...
Thank you Chris! Art Saving Animals: That must be crazy Sheila (: I used Winsor Newton 140lb watercolor paper with gesso on both sides and edges.
ReplyDeleteDiane, your flower paintings are beautiful...they have a wonderful sensibility and composition. I like how the red underpainting shows in some of your white flower paintings.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and for your kind comments.
I love that dull ochre with the red, especially in the middle painting. You manage to achieve such unity around the whole of the canvas - congrats on the triple sale (somebody knows what is good).
