I look forward to the time when you do a large arrangement of flowers while still keeping the flowers themselves the same size as your smaller pieces, so you can use all the awesome painting chops you'e acquired on a larger stage. Until then, I'll still enjoy looking at every piece you post.
Dar & Chris: THANK YOU. ANON: That's the plan for 2009. Thank you very much for taking the time to comment. Hearing someone "outside" suggesting exactly what I've been really WANTING so badly to do confirms that it IS a good direction. When I started this blog, I thought the smaller paintings would be "on the side" of bigger paintings, but that has never quite happened. ... I'm (VERY) happy with my own progress to date, but I know there's only so much "mileage" to be had from 6x6 and 5x7 paintings-- And I will remedy this in 2009. Thanks again.
Diane! These are AMAZING, some of my favorite paintings of yours I have seen. I love these last two florals, WOW. The looseness, the colors, you got it!!! Joan
I wish I had a better painting vocabulary to say what I admire about it, but can I just say "awesome!"
