At last! 9 Pinocchio paintings arranged Brady Bunch (opening credits) style. I would have (re) photographed 'em again hanging on the same wall, but two of them went to the Pentagon gallery--and a few more sold. So, I decided to just go ahead and work with what I have...digital photos taken from before. I wanted to see them all together.
This was a fun project. I find myself scrutinizing how far I've come and gawking at how far I still wanna go. Painting the same thing over and over is a really good way to see repeating "issues." Old Pinocchio still has a thing or two to teach.
Diane, What a hoot! Very much fun!
ReplyDeleteDo you giggle the entire time you are painting them?
Wow! Di! This is so ... cool, fun, fantastical! Speaking of re-doing paintings, was just reading this in The New Yorker and thought you'd like to read it. It's a bit long, but good. And an encouragement to me.

They look great Diane! Absolutely wonderful. And the message is sound too - keep painting the same thing has so much learning potential!
