Crocker Park Pics
I spent the weekend exhibiting almost 40 small paintings at the Crocker Park Fine Art Fair. It was a lot of fun. The Michigan Art Guild awarded me a Best of Show blue ribbon for "emerging" artists! (: A happy surprise... and I sold a few paintings. My "models" were there too: Pinocchio, Pete the Dog and the wood duck pull toy. All were displayed on an old ironing board. What a wonderful event and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. Hoping to get back in the studio again soon.

Diane, you ROCK! Congratulations on the successful show, and on your award.
ReplyDeletePete the Pup is just adorable.
Lovely to hear about the Art Fair Diane. It sounds like you had a lot of fun and congratulations on the "emerging artists" award.
ReplyDeleteJoan & Pat: Thanks!! Sheila: Heheh, thanks. Don't cha know I'm an old hag at making art, but oils really are like a brand new medium for me.... I lucked out when they let me exhibit under the "emerging artist" category... The booth space was free and The Guild (theguild.org) set EVERYthing up and tore everything down. They provide complimentary coffee and snacks to the artists. Really neat event, super organized and efficiently managed!!
ReplyDeleteWish I could have been there. Looks like a great showing Di. Congrats on your award. That is very cool.
