Of interest the lightest areas on the petals of THIS flower were painted in LAST (after the most of the painting had completely dried) when I realized it was getting lost in the similar value background. (:
Terrific Diane, so confident but subtle at the same time. It must have been exciting to work at that size after working small scale for a while. You are tempting me to try a 16" square!
Your trio of sunflowers is very nice. I think three large paintings like that would be very damatic hung together.
