Modern Iris II

Modern Iris II  Oil on panel, 10" x 8,"  $355.
Painting a coordinated series presents challenges.  I intend for these iris paintings look as if they are a set.  I have a notion of why this painting and the first don't really go (together.)  But until I've painted a few more, I'm not gonna overthink it!  Side note:  Really enjoying the metallic gold paint here!  You will see it again in this series.

    These are fabulous! I have 3 different kinds of iris blooming in my yard now, and haven't ever been able to capture them in paint... I can't tell you how awesome I think these are :)

    Somehow this reminds me of Louisiana! Love the color combo and how you paint flowers is just divine, as always, Diane! :)
