Dino and my New Still Life Props Shelf

Dino  Oil on wood  8" x 8"  NFS
I remembered a bunch of still life props while I was switching out shelves.  ...and I'm afraid I had to paint one.  Also for your amusement, a before and after shot.  Oh, the joy of a new shelf!  Is there room for more props!!!????  (Yes!)

  1. I love how you've organized by color!!!

I guess my cupboard is organized by "shine". I have sections of shiny, reflective silver, tarnished metal, transparent glass and a shelf with mat-glazed pottery. Then there are old books and an odd assortment of animals that don't get enough time on stage.

It's often the material that grabs my attention when I'm setting up a composition. But it sure is hard to pick!

  3. What a great idea! Most of my props are tucked away in cupboards and of course they don't get used! Love the humor in your painting!
