It doesn’t happen too often but it happens. They were probably grown in or near Holland and in an effort to get them here at their peak they are harvested while the buds can barely be seen. You can’t tell by looking at them if they will open or not. Beautiful painting Diane. Love the flowers even if the iris didn’t open all the way.Sharon L.
