Esperanza, painting of a rabbit

Esperanza  Oil on panel, 8" x 8,"  NFS
With the use of a softer paint (Cobras instead of Winsor & Newton) comes the need for softer brushes. I discovered Princeton's "Snap!" brushes recently.  They are very affordable and super soft synthetic... Between the soft paint and the softer brushes, it was difficult not to over blend on "Esperanza."  I gave it my best shot...
"The Sage" placed first, woohoo!
In other news, I am thrilled to report "The Sage" took First Place in the August DPW Painting contest! A quick and heartfelt thanks to judge, Rob Rey.
