Mulberry Cat and Gallery + joins 78th ST Studios

Mulberry Cat  Oil on wood  12" x 12" Reserved
Mulberry Cat, my latest:   If you'd like to purchase this painting the "Buy Now" button is at the bottom of this post.

Now, my big news:
Glorious wall space at Gallery +, the newest addition to 78th ST Studios.  (All mine!)
Big news, I tell you!  This has been a long time coming.  I have always wanted a permanent local hub for my art and I think I found it...  Four artists and I will occupy the newest addition to 78th ST Studios:
Fellow artists are Leslie Edwards Humez, Zachary Hoon, Tricia Kaman and Ted Lawson.  The "+" in Gallery + symbolizes occasional guest artist exhibits as well as artist merchandise to be offered in the future.
If you are local to Ohio, please attend our first opening which will happen this Friday between 5 and 9pm during the 78TH ST Third Friday open house event.  Address:  1300 West 78th ST, Cleveland, OH  44102
  • 78th Street Studios is the largest fine arts complex in NE Ohio with over 40 retail galleries, studios, and other creative spaces all under one roof.

All of my larger paintings will be on exhibit.  You've heard me belly ache on this blog --about wanting to paint bigger. Gallery + is an amazing opportunity to share those paintings.  Our group is looking forward to hosting Gallery + exhibits during the the monthly 78th ST Third Friday tours. Please consider attending this Friday!!

I will keep you, dear subscriber/blog visitor in the loop with updates and pictures as this new venue gets rolling.

  1. Great news Diane!! I love your cat paintings!! I'm waiting on our Community Arts Gallery here to be finished then "at last" a few of us can show our work and have exhibitions. Much less commission than the other galleries. This has been a long time coming too!!!

  8. Diane, did you notice, or maybe use it for inspiration, that the background pattern in this painting is similar to the jacket you're wearing in your portrait?

Congrats on your new location. What a fun new venture for you. I wish I lived close enough to come see it. I wish you the best.

  9. Love the painting!
I checked out the work of the other artists you will be showing with, and think you have a great mix...colorful whimsy, figurative, city views and your own work. The common denominator of 'excellence in realism '
will make your Gallery + shine amongst the others at the 78 Street Studios.
Have fun as well as success!
