Nouveau Sunflowers reworking an old painting

AFTER:  Nouveau Sunflowers (reworked)  Oil on wood 16" x 16"  NFS

BEFORE:  Nouveau Sunflowers (before rework)
"Fixing" old work is a seriously slippery slope...  I went into this one thinking only to re-do background pattern.  That lead to warming up pears and adjusting table top for more color harmony. and that quickly lead to more misc tweaking of the sunflowers. It's hard to know when to call it quits!

Boy, you aren't kidding...one starts to "tweak" and next thing ya know your toes are no longer touching bottom.

You how ever made a nice improvement...great when that happens

  2. Thank you so much for teaching me all the time. Everything in this painting is beautiful, but for me, I love the jar.
