Satisfied with this painting, though I might like to try it again sometime, bigger. Cat+pattern+butterfly was a tall order for an 8x8... The Victorian pattern and the way it helps describe the ledge is especially interesting and warrants further exploration. This cat waits for adoption at the Cleveland Animal Protective League.
love the butterfly. Pulls everything together, especially the way the cat is checking it out.
