Lewis II painting of gray cat on pattern

Lewis II  Oil on wood  8" x 8"  SOLD
So many great cats (and kittens!) at the Cleveland Animal Protective League, I have to resist the urge to take them all home myself.  I was happy to see Lewis (aka Yoshi) again during a recent photo shoot there--until I started to feel regretful that he hadn't been adopted.  Anyway, I got a better likeness of him this time around.

  1. These cats are so lucky to have such an advocate as you. Your patterned backgrounds are artwork in itself and then you paint these beautiful cats on them.

  3. Excellent cat portrait, Diane! .. I love the vibrant colors in the background. It's so sad to hear Lewis is still at the shelter..hopefully he'll find his forever home soon!!.

  4. I love the warm tones here and how his fur reflects the background . The treatment suits the grey fur amazingly. Best of luck to Lewis!
