Reluctant Gift a rabbit painting

Reluctant  Oil on wood  8" x 8"  SOLD
Easy on the eyes, cute as a button--they are.  But maybe not the most exciting pets?  Rabbits have a lifespan up to 12 years and they are not low maintenance.  They are social animals who need routine exotic veterinary care and space to roam.

  1. Such good reminders - this guy is so pretty!! I have had a couple of rabbits in my life - my last lop eared was so sweet - they are a lot to care for.

  2. I've never had one as a pet, but routinely enjoyed seeing them in my woodsy backyard at my last home. Honestly, I think these little guys need to be wild. They don't need us like the dogs and the cats do (even if cats think they don't!). :) That's just a personal opinion, though, and to each his own. This bun is so cute on his Spring-y background pattern! :) xo

  3. Really well done and you caught the "I do not approve! attitude that is actually endearing in such a small package. I was a bunny mom by default for a decade . Two came to me because there was no one else to care for them and while I wouldn't run out to get another it was an experience I look back on with fondness.

I like how you have the background as a floor . There's alot of bunniness here. Of course the fur and all important nose are great

    1. Bunnies and cats would be so much more entertaining if they could smile... Glad you had a good experience with your two, Anne!

  4. I had a grey rabbit growing up and I have more fond memories of Robby than almost all the other animals we had!! I use to take him for strolls around the neighborhood in my baby carriage...kids ran up calling me a baby until they saw Robby inside...it was the best feeling!! Your painting brings back so many memories...just LOVE your art Diane...I am a big fan!!
