SYZGY at Cleveland West Art League Gallery

Me with my paintings, 1/17/14
The opening for Syzgy happened Friday night.  It was a hit, we had more than 600 people pass through.  I'm so glad to have met so many people I only "knew" online!
My Aunties, my dear mom and my Uncle
Especially wonderful, family and friends came out to support all of the artists involved.  A very dear high school friend, Donetta showed up.  I hadn't seen her in almost 30 years.  Outstanding!
The Cleveland legend!  George Kocar
Some things are funnier in hindsight.  Case in point, the time I had an exhibitor tent next to George Kocar's tent at an art fair.  A monsoon like storm struck, my tent and nearly everyone's flew away like birdies in the wind.  George's paneled tent stood like a fortress weighted down on the corners, dry on the inside... he said he peeked outside after the storm and everyone was gone.  We had a good laugh about that.  (Read more about it here, heh.)

Art dynamo, Judy Takacs!  I was thrilled to see her paintings in life.

Onlookers, lots of good eats and wine.

Marilyn Dolence, Leslie Edwards Humez, me and George Kocar
I had wanted to get a good photo of our whole group but when things got busy it was impossible.  Missing from this photo is Mike Guyot and Judy Takacs.  Leslie Edwards Humez's curation of this show was incredibly organized and thoughful.  Those are her sculptures...  Despite the art being very diverse, the show had a cohesive quality with just the right amount of variety.  It was an honor to be included.
