Rolling Harvest three big sunflower paintings

Rolling Harvest  Oil on Arches Oil Paper  each 22" x 22" SOLD
Three big 22x22s today:  I used the new Arches Oil paper for them and it held up very well.  No gesso necessary!
I painted these by sections, here's a work in progress shot!

  5. Beautiful!!! I had the same question as Pattie- did you mount them on board? Or does it come in various thicknesses/weights? Sounds like "product review" time!! :-)

  6. Pattie and Roxanne: It has the nearly the same weight and almost the same feel (a little softer) as the cold press 140lb watercolor paper. The sheets are 22x30 and it is also available on rolls. I'm not sure how the buyer will frame them, though I suspect mounting them to a board w/simple frame would be fine as would be matted/framed w/glass. I'm just glad to be spared gessoing when I get requests for work on paper!
