Amish Buggy Horse a painting by Diane Hoeptner

Amish Buggy Horse  Oil on wood  11" x 14"
My husband and I drove down to Berlin, OH recently.  On the way there, we made an impromptu stop at an outdoor market.  Berlin is amish country and there were many horses, buggies and cars parked in front.  This buggy horse waited patiently for its human to return.

  1. That is lovely. I like how the abstract background makes the house pop, plus his fab glossy coat. Nice!

  2. WoW!!! I'm always knocked out by the various subject matter you choose that's outside of "cats & flowers" (my faves!) -you've really nailed the anatomy of this horse (and I love that glossy coat, too).
