Sandy hit Cleveland too

Sandy didn’t spare Cleveland.  We had crazy wind and rain, trees and power lines came down too.  Lake Erie (!?) generated 22 foot waves.  The tall fence that divides our backyard from the neighbor’s also came crashing down…   We have debris and stuff stacked up back there, it’s not pretty.  Adventure kitty, Layla has been assigned to indoor patrol until another fence is installed, she’s not happy about that.  Worst of all has been the lack of internet for 24+ hours.  The sudden absence of email, facebook and twitter has put me in an isolated funk!  ...and the nonstop barrage of political advertising here doesn't help any either.  Pathetic, I know.  I should be grateful our house and electricity held up…  Happy Halloween.  Mmph.

  1. Diane, I am so sorry about the damage, but happy you survived. You'll survive the political jibberish, too! :-)

  3. Thanks for making me feel grateful for what I have and making me laugh about Adventure Kitty, Layla assigned to indoor patrol!
I think a sense of humor gets us through life's up and downs with our sanity intact. Good to know yours is in top form during trying conditions.
    Sending blessings

  6. Thank you all for commenting. I know I'm being a bit of a baby relative to what others are still going through. There's still power outages everywhere, we got off easy really. Things are getting back to normal, as long as I avoid looking at the wreckage on the way out. LOL. Thank you!!!

  7. Sorry about your storm mess. We lost power for a bit Monday night and some water pressure.

Maybe the mess in your backyard will inspire your painting.... Paint something moody, muddy, messy, maybe.....
