Spring Cat white orange cat on green pattern

Spring Cat  Oil on cradled wood  8" x 8"  NFS
I did a different kind of painting over the weekend:  Easter egg painting with my nephews!!  Much fun was had.
The painting above practically painted itself, I wish that would happen more often!  It was nice to return to a smaller size, maybe that had something to do with it...  I'm really happy with this one.  Thanks go to Jala Pfaff for letting me use one of her amazing photos for reference.

  1. Gorgeous, Diane! I love the 'allure' of not seeing the cat's face. Beautiful composition, anatomy is spot on, great color combo...you go, girl!

  2. Beautiful, and so softly structural. Prompted me to get up to pet my orange cat. Lovely.
