Rich color and wonderful values that gives this painting depth.
Beautifully painted, Diane! Love it.
Gorgeous !! I love it !!
The colors are so rich; the eyes are so bright; and the fur looks absolutely lush! Exquisite.
Yes, I agree with Marie! Lush fur...it's very Diane Hoeptner. :)
Holy cow! - the light cresting the tops of his ears & upper planes of his face are such a wonderful contrast to the lost edges of his lower body that drift into that "mystery of shadow"!! Wonderful - incredible depth (and all in a 6x6"!!)
oops - this one's 10x10- but still!! even in all the 6x6x lately- you continue to amaze & inspire me!
I agree with everything everyone above said! This is really gorgeous, Diane. You continue to amaze me!!
Yes! Absolutely gorgeous! I can see why you are so proud and I am sure it is amazing in person.
Great painting, Di, but not quite realistic. I think you need to make a painting of the cat knocking the flowers off the table. Now that'd be realistic! Heck, do a whole series: cat eating flowers, cat knocking off flowers, cat looking innocent as he saunters away from the mess.... Captain Jack killed a wiseman from my nativity set around Christmas time. Pushed him right off the mantel. Pretended he had no idea what I was hollering about as I watched the icon crash to the floor.
