  1. Really lovely Diane! The little jar reads exactly right and I love the soft white hydrangeas. I really like your posts on the top 3 things to consider on showing your art, thanks!

  4. Hydrangeas are such a favorite of mine- love this! You took them in a jar on a hard wood floor- just a great composition- lots of warm light coming in too!

  5. Just exquisite, Diane. I love the softness, lighting, and subtle colors on the hydrangeas. The jar is perfect and the shadows on the floor add just the right touch.

  6. Love your rendering and the limited colors of the palette. I just did 3 quick paintings of hydrangeas yesterday, I have not posted yet... I prefer your
    painting, very lovely.

  7. Diane! I think this is my absolute favorite of all your artwork that I've seen. Of course, I have a thing for white flowers, but I love, love, love the rustic setting you've put them in. This is breathtaking!

  8. Thank you everybody. I was trying for more impressionistic, looser brushwork and heavier paint with this hydrangea paintng. I wasn't sure I liked it! I'm gonna try more in this style. Thank you so much for your comments.

Love this painting as much for the expertly painted atmosphere as the flowers!
