I'm having too much fun repainting favorite compositions. The first time I painted this one was here. I made some little fixes and kept the background a little more "back" this time.... 12" x 12" once seemed huge, but it's totally in my comfort zone now.

    Deeper values make for a more sophisticated look. Love that the stripes are off-center now; better composition.

  3. yes, you have defenitfly made more of a recession, by putting a dark and cool background. wonderful painting!

  4. The sunflowers and the tablecloth (which I adore) is really highlighted in this painting! Adore it! I love how you repaint things *larger*! I can't ever do the same thing twice either, if I repaint something, I'm bound to tweak things! xox-Loren
