Kitty Paws cat painting

The reference photo for this pet portrait featured huge crystal clear paws...leaving the kitty's face blurry and out of focus. I love the kitty's far away gaze but I had to paint in extra contrast and sharper edges to have it compete with those big back paws.

    Diane, This painting works on so many levels - the soft tones, the far off look, even the foreshortened pink paws, reminiscent of your floral work, add a welcome bit of color. Really nice!
