It feels good to do some loose paint sketches on paper. If this looks vaguely "Christmas" that's because it is... a few more to follow this week.

  2. Beautiful, Diane! Love the way the red ground glows through and the soft green square behind the flower gives it great focus and plays against the red tones wonderfully. Also like the way the stem is pulling out and back toward the viewer. Really nice piece!
