Too much fun! I posted a picture of my nephew on Facebook? ...and he caught the attention of my Facebook friend/artist Pattie Wall and she did his portrait!! Reader, you know I've painted my nephews more than a few times, but what an absolute DELIGHT it is to see someone else's version! You can see the portrait on her blog here. Thank you so much, Pattie!!

  1. Hi Diane,
These last two paintings have such a nice feel to them. Hmm, I think you may have something with this idea of adding some atmosphere around the objects. I guess I had to see it to believe it. :)

  2. How cool is that to have Pattie paint your cute nephew. I can't believe I'm not following Pattie so I signed up right away.

Love the hollyhocks my dear. The fallen leaf is a very nice touch.

  3. Love these winter hollyhocks! They're so Louis the XVI or XVII, I can't remember which...but these blues always remind me of Louis!

Redheads are intriguing, you, your nephew...and maybe the reason I choose red to dye my hair? LOL I actually DO have red highlights, so I'm just playing that up--that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it! ;o)
