Coco Gray Cat Painting

Coco in Repose 12" x 12" Oil on Board N/A

This is Coco, our spaztastic cat. He was rescued from the pound and promptly terrorized daily by my first cat, Layla. He's the most muscular of the two cats, weighing a good pound or two more than Layla, but in his eyes she's still the boss... Will take better photo of this painting when it's drier and Cleveland's rain and dark lifts. To see more posts about Coco, click here.

  1. My cat jumped on my lap to see Coco. We love him! We really like the light glowing through his ear, and the soft brush work, as though you were petting him as you painted.

  2. Dang girl! I love the way you painted Coco. I'm making mental notes so I can emulate my painting idol's techniques the next time I paint one of the furry friends.

  4. So soft, like a daydream--love this, Diane! Might I add that with all these neutrals, this painting would fit in perfectly in any room? I know that's not how we're "supposed" to decorate, but people do...so Coco hits us right where it's homey! xox-Loren

  8. Love how the light patterns add interest to the composition and kitty is painted in a way to be artful and not cutsey, can be very hard to do!
