I intended to paint more irises, but I took another look at my reference photos and realized, they weren't so hot afterall... and don't cha know I still have piles of un-mined (good!) tulip photos. These paintings are reserved, but if you'd like to commission something similar, email me today.

Love the cool turquoise "halo" around the tulips, Diane!! How do you frame these when they're on paper?

Your paintings are beautiful. I love the composition and especially the colors. Very impressive.

these are very nice. I also was wondering how you frame them?
God bless and happy painting

Thanks all for the comments. I wish I had a definitive answer about framing on these! I take precautions to ship them in good order, (unframed) to a dealer... I'm sure they get framed somewhere further down the road, but I couldn't tell you how.

Diane, Love the colors on this and the underpainting. What kind of paper are you using? I have painted on gessoed matboard and then framed them under glass.
