Yellow Flowers & Sandpiper

Here's today's efforts. I can't say I'm thrilled with it, but I've been wanting to try a more complex composition. This painting has both yellow roses and daffodils, plus a hand carved sandpiper (which I love.) Ah, live and learn. (Sorry, no corresponding interior paint colors for this.)

  1. I think your composition looks fabulous! And I love that wooden sandpiper too, I also like the way he's looking away from everything. I thought this was bigger until I saw the size, I don't know how you got all that on an 8"x8" board. I especially love your flowers.

  2. Hi Diane, I have been over here admiring SO much all your work with flowers...they've been an inspiration to me with my recent explorations of them. I love too, here and in the others, your brushwork...it feels so effortless and flowing.
