Sometimes it's best to start with a clean slate. While painting this daisy, I tried to micro manage the pink and yellow petals with a tiny brush. I struggled for quite a while before wiping that part back down to canvas. Applying generalized colors in simple shapes with a larger brush helped.

  1. Beautiful painting, I love your composition. You've painted the important part of these elements. And nice job painting glass!

  2. It's beautiful Diane. Love the freshness and colour - and you are right about the big brushes!

  3. yep, simple shapes always the way to go. beautifully done. I enjoy your work.
